Mustang GTD
My contributions to the Mustang GTD spanned from concept design to implementation. I led multiple designers on design, technical design implementation as well as facilitating/art directing suppliers and internal engineering teams to meet design intent. The following are the main areas of focus:
Updating the digital twin to reflect the GTD trim level of the Mustang. Optimizing data for production intent to ensure performance.
Providing the same data set for supplier implementation on the cluster display, along with providing overall art direction on implementation in software.
Created a performance based cluster design specifically for the GTD.
Created animations for GTD welcome and farewell for vehicle start/shutdown.
Facilitated collaboration between multiple teams including internal design teams, engineering teams, external suppliers and stakeholders.
Consolidated workflows to author designs in Unreal Engine for Implementation on internal design work.
Mustang GTD // MyMustang App
The MyMustang App is a complete Unreal Engine application designed specifically for the Mustang. This consisted of updating the vehicle visualizations/digital twin in Unreal for production.
Mustang GTD // Welcome and Farewell Animations
Welcome and Farewell animations created for GTD startup and shutdown of the vehicle. These are sequenced animations that are triggered at different states when entering/exiting the vehicle to mask boot times and to provide cinematic branded moments within the digital experience.
Mustang GTD // Visualizations
Visualizations created in Unreal engine for early conceptual work as the vehicle wasn’t built yet. Most of my work deals with vehicle visualizations/data that is much earlier than physical builds of the vehicle.
Mustang GTD // Performance Themed Cluster
Performance based cluster designed for the GTD. Radial gauge design that is focused on prominent track/racing attributes, emphasizing Gear and RPMS over speedometer. I worked with designers to create visual direction to productionize assets. Adopted overall theming/branding from existing cluster themes to create this variant.
Mustang GTD // Drive Modes
Provided vehicle data sets that were optimized by my team and provided visual direction to the supplier on cluster implementation for the Mustang GTD drive modes.
